The Murrells Inlet accommodations available here range from Bed & Breakfasts, hotels & inns, and vacation rentals in the form of condos, villas, and single family homes. You can stay as close or as far from the oceanfront as you’d like and this time of year you’ll get to take advantage of many places having off-season rates at this time.
It’s a beautiful time of year to come enjoy coastal South Carolina. There are many special events going on for the holidays both in Murrells Inlet as well as the surrounding areas up and down the coast. Here’s just a brief example:
Nearby Brookgreen Gardens’ “Nights of a Thousand Candles” has become a holiday tradition when the gardens become a wonderland of lights and candles and outstanding entertainment. This years events will be held Dec. 7 and 8, Dec. 14 and 15, and Dec. 20-22. Dinner, catered by Inlet Affairs, is available in addition to admission prices. For group reservation of 15 guests or more, please call (800) 849-1931 or (843) 235-6021
Get in the holiday spirit with the annual Murrells Inlet Community Christmas Parade beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 2! Come and enjoy the fun as the Christmas Parade starts at Wilcox Avenue (Booty's) and marches down Business 17 with marching bands, beauty queens, dogs, cycles, and lots and lots of goodies for the kids! Immediately following the parade, meet at Morse Landing Park (next to Hot Fish Club) for the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Santa Claus will visit with the children at the park. The Christmas tree will be lit and the Boy Scouts will light a bonfire to take the nip out of the air. Christmas music will entertain the crowd at the park. Don't miss out.
